for Alpha-Pi Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity
Sage’s Report
Dear brothers,
My name is Aaron Landis and I am the new Sage of Alpha Pi chapter for 2006. The new semester has started off great, and I anticipate the rest will be just as good. Currently Sigma Pi has the highest GPA of all eight fraternities on campus, and our new members hold the same honor with the highest GPA. This spring semester we have nine great young men pledging. I have high hopes for these men as we approach the one-thousand member mark for our chapter, which should certainly be reached by the end of next semester. Our biggest focus right now is on increasing our numbers. As you are probably aware we are working on getting a new house and will need more members to help with that. We have already outpaced our recruitment goal set by nationals for the scholastic year.
Our next big upcoming event will be Founder’s Day which is set for the first weekend in March. In the mean time we will be helping with the Make-A-Wish “Have a Heart” Radiothon on February 10. This is our third year to help with this event. On March 27 through the 31 we will be doing our annual ACE project to help give back to the university. For those of you that don’t know, we were recognized by nationals for our outstanding performance with the ACE project last year, and we hope to live up to that again this year. I hope everyone plans to return to your Alma Mater this year, and I look forward to seeing all of you.
Your Brother,
Aaron Landis

Lost Brothers
There are currently 200 brothers for whom we do not have current addresses. If you are aware of someone who does not receive The Piper or does not receive the Emerald, please have them contact us. You can also go online to www.sigmapi.org and see a list of all lost brothers and update their information. Please take some time and help us re-contact our lost brothers.
Alpha Pi History Book
The alumni association would like to create a book containing the history of Alpha Pi Chapter. If you have any stories that you would like to share about our chapter’s history, please send them to us. We are looking for information about where the chapter met while you were in school, did we have a house?, a suite?, did we win any awards? Did we pledge the entire football team? Any information you have will help tremendously.
Please send stories to Ricky Marshall or go online to the chapter website and enter your story there.
